UPDATE: THE ANNIVERSARY MODELS HAVE ARRIVED!!

Yes, I've gotten loads of interest in this bass so I've decided to have RLB build (6) special ones for the upcoming 30th Anniversary of The Bass Palace. These models will be released starting in May, 2023 and I feel they represent something that has never been offered before. They will all be short-scale models with a bolt-on neck with 22 frets and a custom 1 9/16" width at the nut. The necks will feature the finest flame maple and stunning rosewood, curly ebony and fiddleback maple fretboards. Bodies will feature either swamp ash or korina cores for maximum tone. The tops will be available in outrageous quilted redwood, blistered or flame ash. All of the luthier-grade woods used in these basses will be meticulously air-dried for stability and also to keep weight in the ideal 7 1/2 lb range.

The Anniversary models will be equipped with the unique Bartolini P/Soapbar pickup combination shown but the 9-volt preamp will be streamlined to include just volume, pan and concentric bass/treble controls in a compact 3-knob layout. The control plate will be recessed on the newer ones. Three trim levels will include USA Hipshot chrome, black or gold hardware and I may also offer a highly-figured back as well. I will not be accepting pre-orders on these but will give plenty of notice as the time approaches. I'm quite excited about these basses!
